- Spark Your Inner Jewelry Designer
Have you ever dreamt of designing a piece of jewelry that tells a story? An engagement ring full of symbolism, a necklace that holds a family heirloom, a pair of earrings that match your everyday style? At Warren Jewellers, we believe your dream can become a reality! Whether you have a clear vision or just a glimmer of an idea, we're here to guide you every step of the way. Where To Start If you don’t have a specific image in mind, we can start by shaping your ideas together. The first step is to spark your imagination! Explore Pinterest, experiment with AI-generated images, or stop by the store for some inspo. Share any thoughts on styles, materials, or looks you like—even if you're not sure how to combine them. Don't worry about being too detailed; a rough idea is a great starting point. Do you have a sketch of the design you want to create? Whether it's a rough outline on a napkin or a meticulously crafted drawing, we can translate your sketch into a stunning design! Bring your drawing in-store with you or send it to us via email ( info@warrenjewellers.com ) or text (717-300-8125). Need to talk your ideas out? Schedule a consultation with one of our jewelry designers. This is your opportunity to share your vision, discuss gemstones and metal types, and brainstorm design elements together. We can do the consult in person or via Zoom, whichever fits your schedule and comfort level. Witnessing Your Design Take Shape Digital Renders - Once we have a clear idea of your design, the magic really begins! We utilize cutting-edge 3D modeling software to create a realistic rendering of your custom piece. This allows you to see the design come to life in stunning detail before we move forward. Here, you can make any adjustments or changes to ensure everything fits your vision. Wax Model - The next step adds a tangible element to the process. Following your approval of the 3D render, we can create a wax model of your custom design. This allows you to see and hold the piece in its three-dimensional form. It's your final opportunity to provide feedback and ensure every detail is exactly how you envisioned it. From Dream to Reality With your final approval, your design gets cast in your preferred metal. Stone setting and polishing follow, ensuring every detail meets our standards. Finally, our in-house jeweler inspects each piece for quality, making sure it's ready to go home! Ready to Start Your Custom Design Journey? - How To Keep Your Jewelry Safe When Traveling
Hey there, jewelry lovers! Summer is just around the corner, and that means it’s time for vacations, adventures, and making unforgettable memories. As custom jewelry designers, we know how much your pieces mean to you. Whether it's your engagement ring, a diamond necklace, or a custom bracelet, each item holds a special place in your heart. But what happens when life’s unpredictable moments put your treasured pieces at risk? That’s where jewelry insurance comes in! Why Is Jewelry Insurance Important? Protection Against Loss or Theft 1. Let’s face it, custom pieces can be a target for theft. Insurance ensures that if your jewelry is lost or stolen, you’re not left bearing it all alone. It’s like having a safety net for your sparkle! Coverage for Damage 2. Accidents happen. Maybe you drop your ring in the ocean or a gemstone gets loose while golfing? The right insurance can cover the cost of repairs or even a replacement! Peace of Mind 3. Knowing your valuable pieces are protected lets you wear and enjoy them without constant worry - you’re on vacation after all! How to Insure Your Jewelry! Choose the Right Insurance Not all insurance policies are created equal. Look for one specifically designed for jewelry, as it will offer coverage tailored to valuable pieces. Some homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policies might cover jewelry, but often the coverage limits are too low unless each item is specified. Also, investigate the details of what is or is not covered as most insurance will only cover loss or theft. We, at Warren Jewellers, suggest Jewelers Mutual as they will cover loss, theft, along with damage. We even use them for our personal jewelry! Keep Documentation Handy Keep detailed records of your jewelry, including photographs and receipts. This documentation will be invaluable if you ever need to file a claim. Travel Tips! With summer vacations on the horizon, the risk of loss, theft, or damage to your jewelry can increase. Here are a few tips to keep your pieces safe while traveling: ● Always keep your jewelry in your carry-on bag when flying. Checked luggage can be lost, delayed, or handled roughly, increasing the risk of damage or loss! ● Invest in a good travel jewelry case with compartments and padding to keep your items organized and protected. Separate your diamond and gemstone jewelry as damage can occur if they rub or hit up against each other. ● Take off your jewelry when you go into the ocean, a lake, pool, and even a hot tub. Your rings might be more likely to fall off in water, especially if it’s cooler water. Not to mention some chemicals in pools and hot tubs can damage jewelry over time. ● Only bring the pieces you plan to wear and leave the rest in a secure place at home. This minimizes the risk and makes it easier to keep track of your items. ● Before you travel, verify that your insurance policy covers your jewelry while you’re away from home. Some policies may have restrictions or require additional coverage for international travel. ● If you’re still worried about bringing your wedding rings, opt for wearing one of our Recon silicone rings instead. Stop By The Store! Before you travel: Do you have any concerns about your jewelry catching on clothing or the metal looking worn? Let us check your jewelry to make sure your stones are tight and secure - it only takes a few minutes! After you come back: Enjoy a complimentary cleaning to remove any sunscreen or sand from your jewelry!

The Four C's of Diamonds Too Shallow If a diamond is too shallow, light will escape from the bottom of the gemstone. Ideal When a diamond is cut with the ideal proportions, light enters the diamond and is returned through the top of the diamond. Too Deep If it is cut too deep, light will escape from the pavilion. Cut A diamond’s overall proportions, as well as the size and position of its facets, make up the cut. The consistency and balance of these can greatly affect how the stone captures light and reflects it back to the eye. Studies have been conducted to find the optimum proportions of a diamond’s cut so that it has the greatest amount of sparkle. If its cut falls within these parameters, it is considered an ideal cut. Commonly used terms regarding refraction and light: Brilliance—the combination of all of the white light reflected from the surface and the inside of the diamond. Dispersion—flashes of color you see in a polished diamond. Dispersion is also known as fire. Scintillation—flashes of light you see when the diamond, the light, or the observer moves. Color One factor that determines the value of a diamond is its color. With the exception of fancy-colored diamonds, the most valuable diamonds are those with the least color. Although many people think of gem-quality diamonds as colorless, completely colorless diamonds are very rare. Each letter grade represents a range of color that is determined by a manual process of comparing the diamond to a master set. Clarity A diamond’s clarity is measured by the existence or absence of visible flaws. Tiny surface blemishes or internal inclusions, even those seen only under magnification, can alter the brilliance of the diamond and thus affect its value. Carat Weight Carat refers to the diamond’s weight. You may also hear the weight of a diamond referred to in points. One carat is equivalent to 100 points, so a 75-point diamond is equal to 0.75 carats. Because they are rarer, larger diamonds have greater value per carat. Therefore, the price of a diamond rises exponentially in regards to its size.
